DescriptionHandled water-cooler jug, four-gallon capacity: light-gray stoneware body, with heavy, glossy, salt glaze; bulbous form, thick, heavy, walls, two large pulled handles at top, merging with a neck ring at the mouth of the jug; bung-hole at the base has a disc-shaped bolster or flange, and central cavity, to fit a dispensing tap or faucet; face of jug has free-hand cobalt-slip decoration, showing a large, double-bloomed upright flower, and a cursive numeral above; glaze exhibits considerable pebbling with extensive brown speckling in the surface.Dimensions16.5 x 10 in. (41.9 x 25.4 cm)
