DescriptionGAR badge. The top portion of the medal is inscribed with location within a bold rectangular border, above which is an arch with radiating lines and the year. The bottom section of the medal is in the shape of a keystone. In the center is the seal of the Grand Army of the Republic: two soldiers, flanked by flags on either side, shaking hands over a seated woman and standing child, with a Native American figure standing in the center of the background. The lower portion has organizational acronym and wearer information. The pin is located on the reverse side of the upper portion of the medal.Dimensions1.375 x 2.5 in.
