Description"Coventry Cathedral" hardcover book with letter to H. J. Heinz II. Book has light brown paper dust jacket with brown printed City of Coventry coat of arms and city name in the viewer's bottom left corner and the book title along the viewer's right edge in brown and white text. Brown hardcover book cover with gilt Coventry Cross of Nails on front and red spine with gilt title and publisher logo. End sheets are brown with white imagery and biblical text. Front endsheet has off-white rectangular book plate. Interior pages are semi-glossy with printed black text and photographs. Letter is on a white sheet of rectangular paper with gold Coventry coat of arms in the viewer's top left corner, gold printed text in the viewer's top right corner, printed black text for the body of the letter, and blue ink signature at bottom. Historical NotesCoventry Cathedral book that belonged to H. J. Heinz II, as well as a letter from the Mayor of Coventry E. J. Williams to Heinz from May of 1968. The letter references the fact that another mayor in Britain had sent Heinz a packet of information on the attractiveness and industry of their area and the Mayor of Coventry hoped to do the same. Perhaps this was an effort by local mayors to attract the next Heinz factory to their region.
