DescriptionDecorative piece. Rectangular sheet metal. Front is painted/enameled(?) blue with three raised circles across center, from left to right, painted/enameled(?) red, yellow, and red. Center of each circle has electrical socket with ceramic components. Three metal brackets along top and bottom sides. Reverse is painted/enameled(?) light gray. Reverse has back of electrical sockets visible with each surrounded by three mounting bolts arranged in a triangle; mounting bolts have adhesive/caulk material surrounding them.DimensionsHeight x Width x Depth: 29.75 × 62 × 2.25 in. Historical NotesDecorartive piece from the Racer at Kennywood. The Racer is a wooden racing roller coaster that opened to the public in 1927. Its is one of the oldest operating roller coasters in th world. Part of a Kennywood Park collection donated by Jason Belavic who was an employee at the park from 1988 to 2009. Belavic started out as a pot washer in the “Patio Café” and went on to work in various capacities throughout his time at Kennywood. From c. 1994-1996, he played “Kenny” the kangaroo. When items were being disposed of, Belavic would take them home and preserve them.
