Historical NotesNASA special guest STS-107 memorial service badge worn by Jay Apt. Three days after the death of the seven crew aboard Columbia on STS-107 a memorial service was held at Johnson Space Center. This badge was issued to Jay Apt and allowed him entry to the service, at which President George W. Bush and NASA officials spoke. In 1995, Apt had shared an office with STS-107 commander Rick Husband.
