DescriptionRectangular solid wooden door. Possibly pine. Each side of door has four inset panels, the top two are taller and the bottom two are shorter. Right side has dark brown perimeter with applied faux wood grain. Four inset panels have dark brown perimeter trim with applied faux wood grain. Inset panels have light brown background with applied variegated brown birdseye maple faux wood grain which is a mix of circular and linear designs. Right side has circular black metal door knob escutcheon and rounded rectangular keyhole escutcheon. Left side has painted white perimeter. Four inset panels have perimeter trim painted white, purple, and brown in varying patterns. Inset panels have brown background with applied dark brown birdseye maple faux wood grain which is a mix of circular and linear designs. Rectangular area where door hardware was previously located has numerous holes. Back edge is painted brown. Hinge hardware is not intact, but there are two areas where they were previously mounted, each with three holes. Historical NotesThe set of four doors in this collection were removed during renovations to a home located at 57 Main Street in Taylorstown, Pennsylvania. The house was built in 1882. The doors were finished by James Wilson, owner of the Wilson Chair Shop.
