Some events occurred in broad daylight. In June 1921, armed bandits robbed a Boggs & Buhl Department Store employee of $45,000 in deposits right in front of the store at 1:25 p.m. The gunmen ran down Federal Street until off-duty police officer Charles H. Schultz wrestled one of them to the ground.
