DescriptionDark green wool fedora or alpine hat. Back of brim is upturned. Crown is depressed. Four rows of black twisted cord around top of brim ends in a loop on the proper left side. Plume of animal hair on proper left side; hair is contained in a gray metal cone; hair is white at base and progressively darker gray toward the end of the plume; metal cone has pinback fastener that is pierced through the hat. Two metal pins also on proper left side each with pinback on reverse: front pin is red bird with green branches around head and gold arrows in its talons; back pin is the Munich skyline with text identifying the city below and three charms hanging from the bottom edge, from left to right, a pink-brown pretzel, a yellow beer mug with white foam, and a white heart with green leaves at top (possibly a vegetable?). Translation:
Reine Schur Wolle = Pure New Wool
LICHT TRACHTENHAUS = LIGHTHOUSE.

Black fabric oval label inside crown with gold text "[logo] / Echt / Bayerischer / Sport-Hut".
Translation: Echt / Bayerischer / Sport-Hut = Genuine Bavarian Sports Hat.

Round white tag inside at back with black text "57".
Historical NotesHat worn by Bob Prince. Bob Prince was a broadcaster for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1948 to 1975. He was well known for his colorful style and many catch phrases. Prince was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame as a broadcaster in 1986 and was a co-founder of the Allegheny Valley School for Exceptional Children in 1960.
