Historical NotesUpside down ketchup, 2002, While observing consumers, Heinz learned that many stored their bottles upside down in the refrigerator so the ketchup flowed faster and they could get to the last drops. This new container addressed those issues. This bottle has an innovative valve in the lid that controls the flow of ketchup out of the bottle and air into the bottle and is leak proof.
