Stitched in white thread inside proper right edge of jacket is "P Cooney".
Historical NotesChampionship jacket awarded to Paul Cooney when his baseball team from Lilly, Pennsylvania defeated Central City to win the Cambria-Somerset County Inter-League Championship in 1951. Cooney was the winning pitcher in the final game of the series. The Lilly team was sponsored by the Slavish Citizens Club of Lilly. Early in the year, the Lilly team won the Cambria County Industrial League Championship, thereby earning the right to compete against the Somerset County League champion.
