DescriptionDark blue wool jacket. Square blue collar hangs down back - edged with gold braid ribbon. At cuffs and around bottom of jacket is blue knit material with two gold stripes. Seven gold-painted snaps down front. One pocket on each side on front of jacket. On proper left front is round yellow patch in the shape of a softball, edged in blue and with blue text. Jacket lined with olive-green satin.Dimensions23 in. (58.4 cm)InscriptionsOn proper left front is round yellow patch in the shape of a softball with text "Tri-Boro League / Mildred / Satelites" written in blue.
Historical NotesObject belonged to Mildred Martin Allen, who helped to develop the Tri-Boro Softball League and served as its commissioner during much of its existence from 1960-1976. She also played and coached the Satellites softball team (1960-1976). Donated by Mildred Allen's daughter, Beatrice M. Harper.
