BiographyThe Penn-Irwin Motel was located on the Lincoln Highway off the Irwin turnpike exit. It was owned for 34 years by Gary and Debbie Salada, who added many of its current features including the heart-shaped hot tub. It was built in 1946 and used to be part of a larger complex of five motel buildings on either side of Route 30. The motel was sold to developers in March of 2019 and was torn down to make way for a strip mall.
