John C. Mascaro
John C. Mascaro, known as Jack, began Mascaro Construction out of his home in 1988 after 18 years at Mellon Stuart, where he formed the Highway Division and worked his way up to Regional Vice President. He was educated as a civil engineer at the University of Pittsburgh, following in the footsteps of his father Peter J. Mascaro, an Italian immigrant from Calabria who was educated at the University of Naples in Mathematics and Civil Engineering. Mascaro grew his company into one of the largest construction firms in the tri-state region and completed renovations on numerous buildings, such as Heinz Hall, Heinz Field, North Catholic High School, and the University of Pittsburgh’s Chevron Science Center.
