Historical NotesPaper tag on back indicates that this badge would admit the wearer to the Athlete's Stadium and the Dressing Room for the appropriate sport. Donor's mother, Lenore Kight Wingard, was an Olympic swimmer and an internationally renowned athlete in the 1930s. She participated in the 1932 and 1936 Olympic Games.
