The following wording is written around the edge of medal: "ALLEGHENY MOUNTAIN ASSN. OF THE A.A.U." Attached to ribbon in back is a paper tag with: "8-11-35" handwritten in blue ink.

Historical NotesDonated by Cleon Wingard, whose mother, Lenore Kight Wingard, was an Olympic swimmer and an internationally renowned athlete in the 1930s. She participated in the 1932 and 1936 Olympic Games.
