Historical NotesHat from Bimbo's Restaurant and Bar in Mt. Lebanon, Oakland, and Greensburg, Pennsylvania. The location in Mt. Lebanon opened in 1971. It was known for its Styrofoam straw hats, pizza, beer, peanut shells on the floor, the band Steel City Stompers, and Saturday afternoon parties where the birthday boy or girl got a whipped cream pie in the face. There were also locations in Michigan, Minnesota, and Washington, D.C. The Mt. Lebanon location was the last to close in 1983, and it became Froggy’s Roadhouse.
