Historical NotesSteelers hard hat mock-up that was sent to the NFL for approval. This prototype is larger than the final production hat because it would have been too expensive to produce the larger size. The company "Steelers Hard Hats" was created by donor Bob Pasquarelli to create these hats, an idea the donor came up with after college.
