DescriptionNavy blue, double breasted, longsleeved overcoat with lapel collar. Silver, rectangular badge holder is sewn to the proper left breast. Two rows of three, gold buttons on the front that all have an image of crossed olive branches and text in the center. Two parallel, horizontal stripes of yellow and red are near the bottom of the sleeve as well as two parallel, vertical buttons that match the ones down the front. Hip pocket on each side.Dimensions34 x 17 x 2 in. (86.4 x 43.2 x 5.1 cm)InscriptionsButtons all have an image of crossed olive branches and "F.D." in the center.
On proper left shoulder embroidered with yellow thread is a circle with: "ROBINSON TWP. / NO. 1 / GROVETON, PA." inside the center.
MarksInside proper right has black tag with gold lettering: "GoldmanUniformCompany / 212 OLIVER AVE. / PITTSBURGH".
Historical NotesDonor Patty Dominick’s parents met after WWII. Her father, Isadore “Fred” Dupin, was a tank driver during the war, and after the war he worked for Duquesne beer. He was also a volunteer fireman in Robinson Township, Pennsylvania. He was the Democratic Commissioner for Robinson Township from the 1960s until his death in 1981.
