Historical NotesThis badge was mostly likely from a small meeting at Johnstown, Pennsylvania, before the eleventh annual convention met later on during July of 1915. The United Lutheran Society was formed in 1962 when the Slovak Evangelical Slovak Church Union of the Augsburg Confession in America, founded in 1893, and the Evangelical Slovak Women's Union, organized in 1906, merged. This fraternal benefit society is now open to all persons of the Lutheran faith and provides life and health insurance. It is headquartered in Ligonier, Pennsylvania.
