DescriptionClock from Tic Toc Restaurant. Clock case is constructed of red-brown wood and is shaped like a house with a gable roof. Carved wood elements decorate the front perimeter of the house and include leaves, two birds, and a nest with eggs. Front of house is carved in crosshatch design and has clockface at center with Roman numerals I-XII (1-12) in tan plastic(?). Clock hands are ornately carved tan plastic(?) with maker's marks in tan above and below the clock hands. Cuckoo bird window at top center of front with multi-colored bird inside. Access holes on left, right, and bottom sides. Four fisheye swivel hooks along top front of roofline. Back is open and contains clock mechanism and cuckoo mechanism. Clock mechanism and gears are brass and has maker's marks along bottom. Pendulum is not intact. Back cover is not intact.Dimensions17.75 x 14.5 x 6.25 in. Historical NotesClock used as decoration in Tic Toc restaurant located inside Kaufmann's Department Store. Part of a collection of artifacts that document the downtown location of Kaufmann’s (became Macy’s) department store. This large collection of items was field gathered from the downtown location of Macy’s (formerly Kaufmann’s) after the store’s final closing was announced in the fall of 2015.
