Along the upper outside edge of design, "68th INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION" is printed in black.
Along the lower outside edge of design, "AUGUST 26-31, 1985 / PITTSBURGH, PA" is printed in black.
Inside a decorative circular pattern, "GLASS, POTTERY, PLASTICS & ALLIED WORKERS" is printed in bolder black letters. In between the beginning and ending of this phrase is "INTERNATIONAL / UNION" printed in smaller black letters.
In the very center of the dish, "G[backwards P]PA" is printed decoratively, standing for glass, pottery, plastics, & allied workers.
Under this, a sketched image of a white hand with "AFL'" written on the arm is shaking hands with a sketched image of a black hand with "CIO".
Under this, a large decorative "W" is printed in black.
