Historical NotesHarry A. Keltz was born on February 4, 1889 in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. He enlisted in the Pennsylvania National Guard in 1916 before being transferred into Federal Service. He served as a Private First Class in the 148th Machine Gun Battalion in 1917, then in the 102nd Machine Gun Battalion of the "Rainbow Division" in 1918. Harry died on July 22, 1918 from wounds received in action on the western front. Part of a collection that documents the Fisher, Keltz, and Kenyon families.
