Historical NotesA foreman's hat from the H.J. Heinz Company. Ralph J. Boles (born 1927) likely collected the hat during his tenure at Heinz. Born and raised in the Troy Hill area, Boles worked at Heinz's North Side plant for nearly 35 years. He was an officer in his union (Canning and Pickle Workers Union-325) and was also active in the nearby Teutonia Männerchor.
