DescriptionGold metal commemorative medal. Top embossed with image of hands shaking superimposed over open Bible; below hands is organizational name. Circular charm hanging with chain from bottom of top; number engraved in center. Medal at bottom, embossed with image of human holding balance scales in one hand and an American flag in the other. Silk American flag ribbon attaches both pieces together on backsides.Dimensions4.5 x 1.875 x 0.375 in. Suspended circular charm hanging from top piece has "33" engraved in center.
Medal at bottom has embossed below figure, "FIDELITY PATRIOTISM INTEGRITY".

Bottom piece has engraved stamp: "PAT.AUG 3-97"; circular stamp: "NATIONAL COUNCIL / DC5", "TRADE MARK".
Historical NotesDonor Lida Stell was born and raised in Braddock, Pennsylvania and the items in this collection relate to both her family and local Braddock history. The donor’s father is James Oliver Haney, b. 1883 in the Southside. He was the local mail carrier in Braddock and a member of the Carnegie Club. In 1910, he married Margaret Mason Haney who moved to Braddock when she was nine from Tarentum.
