DescriptionSalt- glazed stoneware jar, four-gallon capacity, beige-color clay body has fired to a reddish-tan; tall form, bulges outward slightly at shoulder; tall, straight neck, with embossed lines or bands; two pulled handles; stamped numeral at base of neck; extensive hand-brushed cobalt-slip decoration, featuring multi-leaved fern-like vine motifs, with fuschia(?) flowers; cobalt lines at base and rim, along with accents at the handles; incised line at shoulder area; reddish-brown Albany slip interior.Dimensions15.25 x 9.75 in.
