DescriptionHorse-drawn sleigh hearse. Rectangular box-like body set upon two independent pairs of iron-bound wooden runners. Plate-glass side panels reveal gold swag curtains, drawn up with large tassels, and trimmed with metallic fringe. Two glazed doors at rear with T-handle. Interior rail and pin system to secure coffin, wooden rollers. Six carved finials on top. Roofed in painted oilcloth. Iron-mounted footboard. Tooled leather seat flap. Tongue assembly with evener. Singletree with leather strapwork.Dimensions72 x 45 x 124 in.
