Historical NotesThe Portland Cutter was one of the most populer of all sleigh varities. A cutter was generally a very small sleigh pulled by one horse and used for pleasure driving or racing. A cutter could be purchase for $10 in 1910. As with present day vehicles, accessories, and ornamentation could be added to the sleigh.
