DescriptionWreath of Roses design consisting of nine large wreathes of appliqued flowers in red, green, and orange that are placed around a single large layered red, pink, and orange blossom with four green leaves (Original Rose #3 design) in the center of the quilt. Elaborate border has vines with red flowers (Lillies) and seven leaves on a side plus one in each corner. Bound in red cotton, the hand-quilting features four designs: Shell, Feather Wreath, Double Diamonds, and Waterfall. The backing fabric is white and there appears to be no batting in the quilt.Dimensions230 cm long 230 cm wideMarksMuslin tag in corner has text "Made by Esther C. Musick's Grand Mother 1850".
