InscriptionsIn the middle of the shirt is the crest for the International Association of Fire Fighters, a circle with four arms, in gold. The left arm of the crest has a gold "I" the top has an "A" the right has an "F" and the bottom has "AFL-CIO". In the middle of the circle is an "F" outline in gold. Around the inside of the circle is "ORG- / FEB- / 28- / 1918-".

Above the crest is "PITTSBURGH FIRE FIGHTERS" in gold and below the crest is "LOCAL NO. 1".
MarksA tag on the inside back collar has "Hanes" printed in blue. Below that is "Fifty-Fifty" printed in white on a blue background. Beneath that in blue is "50% COMBED COTTON 50% POLYESTER / MADE IN U.S.A / XL 46-48". The back has washing instructions "Wash Medium Setting / Do Not Bleach / Dry Medium Setting / Do Not Iron / If Decorated / Do Not Dry Clean / If Decorated / RN 62254".
