Below that is a circle with "PITTSBURGH BUREAU OF FIRE" printed around the border in red.

The opposite side of the glass has the shield of the International Association of Fire Fighters in front of a banner. The shield has text including "IAFF", "ORGANIZED / FEB / 28 / 1918", and "AFL-CIO / CLC". The top of the banner has "PITTSBURGH FIRE FIGHTERS / LOCAL NO. 1" printed in red and the bottom of the banner has "ORG. SEPT. 11, 1903" also printed in red."
Historical NotesPart of a collection belonging to Bernie Burns. The collection documents Firefighters Local No. 1, the firefighting union of which Bernie Burns was the president; his life as a firefighter; and additional items that document growing up in Lawrenceville in the 1960s and 1970s.
