DescriptionWashstand, walnut. Top drawer and two open doors in front. Drawer accents: key hole in center; carved in wood are images of fruit with leaves. Historical NotesPurportedly from the room used by Abraham Lincoln during his stay at the Monongahela House hotel in 1861. Following the demolition of the Monongahela House, it was acquired by Allegheny County and displayed in a "museum" at South Park in the 1930's. This piece, along with other furniture, was rediscovered at South Park.
