DescriptionDemilune table with scalloped edges. Dark wood (walnut), scroll design on front at center. Two front legs face forward and have scroll design. Two back legs face outward and are further apart than the front legs. Marble top is the same shape as the table and has beveled edges. Historical NotesPurportedly from the room used by Abraham Lincoln during his stay at the Monongahela House hotel in 1861. Following the demolition of the Monongahela House, it was acquired by Allegheny County and displayed in a "museum" at South Park in the 1930's. This piece, along with other furniture, was rediscovered at South Park.
