(201.9 x 204.5 cm)Historical NotesThis quilt was passed down in the Duff family, believed to be circa 1890. Levi Bird Duff was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Allegheny College before joining the army during the Civil War. Donor Donald H. Duff's grandfather, Hezekiah Nixon Duff, served in the Spanish American War and was the son of Pittsburgh Mayor Hezekiah Nixon. Another Levi Bird Duff was an engineer for the City of Pittsburgh in the early half of the 20th century.
