Historical NotesA painted metal model of an LST (Landing Ship Tank), made by an electrician who worked at American Bridge Company in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. American Bridge Company made the LST for WWII production. They were sent down river to New Orleans where they were armed and tested. The model was presented to Mrs. I. J. Raphael, wife of I. R. Raphael, owner of Brit Equipment Company, an electrical equipment company. Mrs. Raphael was invited to launch LST 835 on October 25, 1944.
