DescriptionMedal pin attached to a red ribbon, with a political token hanging from bottom of ribbon. Pin is two diagonal linear pieces, with embossed text on each piece. Red ribbon is attached to pin, and by a metal ring at the bottom, is attached to a political token that depicts Benjamin Harrison in the center. InscriptionsOne piece of the pin reads: "WASHINGTON" and the other reads "MAR. 4. 1889". The pieces intersect between "4" and "1889". Text on front of token, starting on the center left section of token, reads: "TWENTY THIRD PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES / BENJAMIN HARRISON". On the reverse side of token, "GENERAL / JAMES A. BEAVER / CHIEF MARSHAL" is printed in the center. Around the outside, starting in center left section of token, reads: "INAUGURAL CEREMONIES MARCH 4, 1889". "HARRISON & MORTON" is printed along the bottom.
