DescriptionBadge consisting of a circular metal pin, a red, white, and blue-striped fabric ribbon, and a circular token attached to the bottom of ribbon. Pin features an image of Theodore Roosevelt surrounded by an ornate frame. Front of the token features a relief image of a large building with embossed text around outside of token. Reverse side features a relief of a different large building, also surrounded by embossed text.Dimensions4.063 x 1.75 in. (10.3 x 4.4 cm)
InscriptionsAlong the bottom of the photograph reads: "THEODORE ROOSEVELT". Around the outside, starting in the bottom left section and running along the edge until ending in the bottom right section, reads: "SAMUEL W. PENNYPACKER GOV THEODORE ROOSEVELT PRES. EDWARD Z. GROSS MAYOR." Each name is separated by a shape that resembles a fleur-de-lis. Above the image of the building in the center reads: "DEDICATED JAN. 2, 1822 BURNED FEB 2, 1897". On the reverse side of the token at the bottom is another image of a different large building in the center. Above the building reads: "IN COMMEMORATION / --OF THE -- / DEDICATION OF THE NEW CAPITOL". Below the building reads: "OCT. 4, A.D. 1906 / OF PENNSYLVANIA / AT / HARRISBURG".
MarksOn the reverse side of the pin at the top is a piece of paper that has been inserted into the open-back of the pin that reads in black text: "W. F. MILLER / 134 / PARK ROW / NEW YORK / Pat. Appl'd / for."
