Historical NotesMorningside Bulldogs jacket, 1954. Donor Frank Jansen grew up in Morningside where he played—center on the offense and a linebacker on defense—for the Morningside Bulldogs in both 1953 (13 years old) and 1954. He started working for the Clark Candy Company in 1961 and retired from the company in 1991. Starting out as a traffic manager in the North Side plant, he moved up to distribution manager, customer service manager, and finally purchasing manager. The D.L. Clark Company started out on the North Side in 1886.
