Historical NotesHunting suit and license worn by donor's father, Alexander Hamilton, Jr. Alexander was born in Frank, PA, on February 22, 1917, and graduated from McKeesport High School. He wore the suit to hunt with his father and brothers for both sport and for food. They hunted in the area around their home in Buena Vista, PA. Hamilton served as an infantryman during WWII and upon his return he never hunted again. He told his mother he had enough of guns and killing. He worked in industrial construction for a number of out-of-state companies as a brick and stone mason, and was also a foreman on many job-sites.
