DescriptionColorless, light blue tinted lacy pressed glass bowl. Circular shape with circles and medallions around the sides and pairs of scrolls in the base.Dimensions1 x 5.375 in. (2.5 x 13.7 cm)Historical NotesLacy glass bowl. With the advent of machine pressing technology in the late 1820s, manufacturers began to produce pressed pieces for consumer use at the table. Lacy glass, with its all over patterning both fit the style of the period and hid the imperfections that resulted from using a cool iron mold to shape hot glass.
