Still was a sergeant in the 755th Medical Signal Company during World War II. Sergeant Still was stationed in the Chinese-Burma-India theater (CBI Theater) during the war. He served two years in India. Honorable discharge, or "Ruptured Duck." This decoration was given to US soldiers who were honorably discharged but had not yet returned to the United States, clearly marking the honorably discharged from AWOL soldiers. There is no expiration date for the "Ruptured Duck." The olive drab patch was worn on the enlisted man's service coat, and other woolen outer garments; there was also a khaki version that was worn on the summer uniform.
