Historical NotesSign from Forbes Field taken by brothers Robert and John Krestel from the field after the last game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Chicago Cubs, who coincidentally played in the first game on June 30, 1909. The field closed June 28, 1970; fans were invited to take anything they could from the legendary field before its demolition a year and a month later.
