Each number sign is a flat rounded rectangular silver metal sign; one side has white background with black number at center and other side has black background with white number at center. Historical NotesAllegheny County Police evidence marking kit. Part of a collection that documents the Allegheny County Police. Formed in 1932, the County Police provide policing for the International and Allegheny airports, county property such as North Park and South Park, as well as assisting local police forces when needed. They have a mounted unit, detective division, as well as homicide and narcotics units.
