Historical NotesA glass tumbler commemorating record production at the U. S. Steel Duquesne Works Electric Furnace Department in 1974. Even as the industry declined in the region in this period, record production occurred at many of the regional facilities. Donor June Jordan found this glass tumbler at her church's flea market. U. S. Steel was one of the largest makers of steel, and has its origins in Pittsburgh.
