Glass has a circular base with a cylindrical body and a short, sloped shoulder with a circular, open mouth and rounded rim; base of glass has a foot. White applied decoration on two sides of glass. First side has two lines of retailer text with the image of a coffee mug sitting on top of an anvil in the middle. Second side has two lines of retailer with a white, detailed image in the middle; focus of the image is a person sitting on an anvil, angled to the viewer's left, with a mallet in their left hand and a ram skull on their head. Historical NotesBeer glass is part of a collection from the independent, heavy-metal inspired coffee shop, art gallery, and performance space Black Forge Coffee House started by Ashley Corts in Pittsburgh’s Allentown neighborhood in 2015, which expanded later to a include a larger location in McKeesport. Corts found inspiration to open her own coffee shop from the Beehive Coffeehouse and used heavy-metal music to shape the underlying theme and attitude of the place.
