DescriptionMaster time clock with pendulum, cabinet key, timecard, and diazo print. Master time clock. Rectangular medium-brown wooden cabinet with curved top and bottom front edges. Front of cabinet has wood-framed colorless glass door with three hinges along proper left side and two locks along proper right side. Inside case at top is circular clock face with silver background, black hour hand and minute hand, and black hour numbers around perimeter; seconds dial below the "12" has one black hand and black numbers marking every 10 seconds. Pendulum is comprised of a long metal rod with two cylindrical silver weights at top and pendulum bob at bottom just below horizontal black metal bar. Historical NotesStromberg Master Clock used at the Crucible Steel plant in Midland, Pennsylvania. The master time clock operated around 35 secondary clocks throughout the plant and timed when the plant whistle blew at the beginning and end of each shift. This master clock, along with the Attendance Recorder would make up the Master Clock System in the mill.
