DescriptionBadge comprised of two layers. Bottom layer is a ribbon with rectangular red, white, and blue vertical stripes and a "V" cut out at the bottom. Top layer has a piece of small piece of metal embossed text and design with pin back. Attached is a ribbon with black and yellow vertical stripes with round medallion. Medallion has embossed text on both front an back. Historical NotesBadge from a reception held on September 28, 1908 during the Pittsburgh Sesquicentennial celebration. The Sesquicentennial celebration included attractions, reenactments, and parades to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the founding of Pittsburgh. The celebration took place on July 4, September 27 to October 3, and November 25, 1908.
