Historical NotesThree Rivers Stadium usher’s uniform shirt that belonged to donor John Fabrizio, Jr.'s father John Fabrizio. John Fabrizio was the son of Italian immigrants who came from the Abruzzo region of Italy. His father worked construction and so did John, but he, along with his brothers started to usher at Forbes Field around the age of 17. They lived on Dawson Street, close to Forbes Field. All the men on the Fabrizio side of the family ushered. John, like his father, worked construction as his day job for M. O’Herron. He stopped ushering around 2000, when he was in his 80s, and he never ushered at PNC Park. Donor John Fabrizio, Jr. and his brothers also ushered.
