Navy blue polyester knee-length pleated skirt with gold, white, and red plaid pattern. Wrap skirt fastens with two blue plastic buttons on waist and one on front of proper left hip/thigh. Historical NotesThis girls' Vincentian Academy school uniform was the last style worn during the eighty-seven year history of the school. The girls' school uniform experienced many changes over the years. The first one was a simple dress that fell below the knee and had a white collar and cuffs. Next came a dark blue jumper, a two-piece herringbone gray jumper, and a dark blue and gray pleated skirt worn with a white blouse and gray blazer. The final version was the navy and gold pleated skirt worn with a white shirt and navy blue sweater or polo shirt. Vincentian High School opened in 1932 as an all girl’s Catholic high school. The original class consisted of all Sisters until 1939 and was taught exclusively by Sisters until the 1960s. It remained an all-girls school until 1971. In 1994 the school became Vincentian Academy-Duquesne University until 2010 when they stopped their partnership with Duquesne and became Vincentian Academy until their closing in 2020. The last graduating class was completed virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
