Historical NotesThis drum is from the Italian Sons and Daughter of America Lodge 89. It once belonged to Eugene “Babe” Fabrizi, the house drummer at the Holiday House in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. Donor John Lindberg took drum lessons from Fabrizi as a youth and remembers the painted drum head on display at his shop. After Fabrizi died, a man named John Smith from Latrobe bought the drum. Years later, Lindberg acquired the drum from Smith as payment for his participation in the Lawrenceville Historical Society’s annual Doo Dah Days.
