DescriptionAfrican hand drum. Tall, cylindrical hollow wooden body that tapers toward bottom which has four feet. Sides of body have five carved zig-zag bands around circumference. Head is covered in brown animal hide or skin that has brown fur around the sides; bottom edge of hide/skin is bound with woven/braided hide/skin strips and secured around seven protruding wooden pegs.
